Some form of space madness…

Captain’s Log, Stardate, ummm I have no idea:

As we enter the third day in orbit around the planet known as Sickasadog, we begin to wonder if we can break free of its gravitational pull.  The scout I sent out 3 days ago appeared to have brought back some microscopic bug with her.  She in turn was sick all night long and would not eat anything the next day.  Finally, she was able to keep 6 crackers down.  I thought we were out of the woods when she ate broth yesterday.  She resumed her regular duties as of today, and that’s when my Chief Medical Officer became ill.  She started getting sick around 0300, and continued to be ill sleeping in the bathroom until around 0800.  I finally convinced her to return to her quarters.  She hasn’t left her post in over 2 years.  Not one day sick.  I told her they would be okay without her for today.

As Captain of this ship, I feel partly responsible.  I have other duties, but have had to pass them off to my Lieutenant as she is perfectly responsible for keeping the 18 other officers in training on their regular routine.  I would be of no use to them anyway and would just be worried that I was going to spread this horrible sickness.  I have a brand new little officer who has yet to see the Captain, but I am told she is doing well and has acclimated to our program (we run a tight ship).

Anyway, I have proceeded to clean every inch of the errr, umm facilities.  Sigh.  A Captain’s job is never done.  I am on duty all the time.  Let’s roll this clip and see what’s happening without me:

Aww, don’t cry.  I’ll be back soon…I hope.

  1. Awww . . .sorry to hear things are still not quite right in your world. I can say I enjoyed reading the update while playing the Star Trek theme music in my head. Know that you have been missed.
