The Insider’s Guide to Geek Holiday Shopping…

If you are like most people, you ponder the perfect gift for your significant other.  Have no fear if you are shopping for geeks.  We are pretty easy to shop for if you know at least 3 of our favorite movies/books/T.V. shows.

Dragon themed gifts can be found here.  These are for the person who put any book in the Inheritance Cycle on their list.  I might get updates from Christopher Paolini’s website myself.  Also, the dragon loving geek would especially like the display case shaped like a dragon.  We like to display our collectibles.

For the geek who is into weapons, they might enjoy a sword from Toledo, Spain.  I visited a sword shop in this very place many years ago and I personally would love the sword from the Templar Knights that is silver, but it is out of my price range.  There are other swords to be found, but it depends on what kind your geek is looking for.  For example, perhaps they fancy something made from Valyrian steel (they probably read or watch the Game of Thrones).  If that is the case, go to Westeros where pendants and mugs abound.

Next comes items that are on my children’s wish list.  I kid you not.  For the fan of Harry Potter comes the best collection of wands, prop replicas, sculptures and jewelry to be found.  You will need to rob Gringotts for sure.  I know I should just for looking in that catalog.

Now comes the item that can rule them all.  Seriously.  The One Ring.  I like this site because unless you are a true crackhead, I mean fanatic, you can decide which price point to shop from.  Personally, I think everyone should have the Gauntlet of the Dark Lord Sauron replica in their house, but perhaps $549.99 is not in your price range this year.  You can buy your precious something else.  You can go on over to eBay and buy them some Pringles.  Of course, by the time you read this, they might be sold out of Legolas chips.

For the Vamp lover, really, what can I say.  Just buy something with Edward on it.  Or maybe Jacob.  Don’t know which team they are on?  Go here and buy them something pretty.  If they are old school vampire fans, buy them the book that started it all.  Bram was the man.

Last, but not least, come the gaming/comic book shirts.  This site is pretty cool and I have ordered from them…for someone else of course.  They have a shirt I want to get my daughter actually.  It might include the word Hobbit.  I can’t leave out this shirt that I want for myself.  Ha ha ha.  I love me some BBT.

Whew.  Well, that is a start for someone you know.  If you happen to know me, any of these items would work this year honey.  Wink.

“I’m a geek who loves fashion. There’s been a reinvention of the word geek. It means being passionate about anything that’s under the radar or sort of frowned upon, like Comic-Con.”  ~Kristen Bell
